1. Do your courses qualify for BICSI continuing education credits (CEDs)?
Yes.
· Installing Premises Cabling Systems = 14 BICSI CEDs
· Certifying and Troubleshooting = 14 BICSI CEDs
· Designing Premises Cabling Systems = 21 BICSI CEDs
2. Who is considered a “member”?
An AMP NETCONNECT ND&I contractor or a training institution that has a contractual business or training agreement with the AMP NETCONNECT Training Department.
3. Who is considered a “non-member”?
Any person (contractor and or company) that is not a ND&I contractor.
4. After I successfully complete this training will I be certified and be able to install performance warranted systems?
You will receive a certificate when you successfully complete any of the AMP ACTsm Training Courses. Depending on what course or courses you take, the certificates states that you are a Registered Installer, Certifier/Troubleshooter or Designer. Only ND&I contractors can install AMP Netconnect performance warranted systems.
5. How do I become a ND&I contractor?
The first step is to contact your local AMP NETCONNECT sales engineer who will walk you through the process and provide you with more details.
6. Can I get a replacement for lost a certificate or wallet card?
Yes. After we verify your training records, we can issue replacement certificates and wallet cards. There is a charge of $30.00 for each replacement certificate and or card.
7. Can I receive my course manual prior to attending a course?
No.
8. What does this type of training get me?
Successful completion of any AMP ACTsm Course results in your name being added to our database of registered students. Depending on which course or courses you complete you will receive a certificate indicating that you are a Registered Installer, Certifier/Troubleshooter and or Designer
9. Do I need to bring my tools or any other material with me to class?
No, you only need to bring the desire to learn more about the premises cabling industry.
10. How do I need to dress for class?
Dress as you would to go to work. We train in a casual classroom atmosphere.
11. Do you provide transportation to and from my hotel and or the airport?
No. We do not provide students with transportation.
